SYNOPSIS

REVIEW
I absolutely adored this book! It was my first time reading a book by Raine Thomas and I am so glad I read this one. I didn't notice that it was 5:00 am and I had to get ready for school in about 30 minutes. The story was engrossing and I just really like books where the male protagonist is a baseball player. It's usually a good book when there's a baseball player around.
Everly is an industrious worker and student. She has to juggle her time with work, studies, and her grandfather. Her grandfather is sick, so she has to take care of him since no one else is going to do it. Her brother committed suicide and her mother got so depressed that she passed away a few years later. Her father skipped out on them and left her to take care of her grandfather.
Cole is a a major league baseball player. He has an injury, but he does not want the public to know about, so he asks his brother (who is a doctor) for help. His brother offers to ask Everly (his student) to take on the task of helping his brother anonymously.
I love that Cole was actually a nice guy. He wasn't an insensitive jerk and he really cared about Everly. They were very cute together! I loved the modelling scene!
There was also a bit of suspense in this book. Everly's tires were slashed and she was hit on the head with a baseball bat one night. I had my suspicions on who was doing it, but I imagine that a lot would be surprised. This one was a definite page turner!
